Minimise imperfections by applying a primer all over your face. A primer will create an even base for your foundation and ensure it lasts the day. As you’re going to be photographed, avoid brightening products that will appear white in flash photography.
Apply a thin layer of foundation to your face. To keep skin looking natural, apply makeup in daylight and pay special attention to your hairline, jaw and neck to avoid patchiness. Be sure to pick a long-lasting foundation – after all you’ve got a big day ahead!
If you need extra coverage, use a concealer to hide any blemishes, circles under your eyes, or redness around your nose.
Using a big brush, lightly powder your T-zone to smooth skin and lock in your makeup. We recommend keeping a compact powder close by for touch-ups later in the day.
Now for your eyes. Start by applying a creamy shadow to your eyelids – we chose a vanilla tone. Then, take a lighter shade and dust over your eyelid, working up to the brow bone to highlight. Finally work a third shade – a chocolate brown – into the crease of your eyelid and along your lower lash line. Blend well.
Select a waterproof eye liner pencil in black or dark brown, and rim your upper and lower lash lines.
Complete your eye makeup by gently curling your eyelashes and applying waterproof mascara.
Brush a bronzer under your cheekbones and across your temple. Then add colour with a blusher, applying to the apples of your cheeks.
Use a lip pencil to line your lips as this will lock in your lipstick. Then apply lipstick with a brush – we love this season’s berry tones.
