Award-Winning Beauty: The Oscars

The red carpet is an actress’ runway. And no red carpet gets as much attention as the Oscars’. This year’s biggest trends included berry lipstick, expertly cut bobs and white, red and blush gowns. We round up our favourite looks.

Emma Stone

Emma Stone complemented her Elie Saab gown with bright coral lipstick that lit up her face. The rest of her look was kept minimal – soft brown eyeliner, a dusting of red-toned blush and Hollywood glamour hair.

Marion Cotillard
No amount of rain could hold back the A-listers from wearing white. Our favourite? Marion Cotillard in Dior. The French actress wore a feline cat-eye, pink lips and an elegant twisted bun at the nape of her neck.

Margot Robbie

Bobs are undoubtedly the hottest haircut of the year (and we’re only in February). Australian beauty Margot Robbie complemented her sharp hair-do with perfectly groomed eyebrows and a vibrant red lip.

Solange Knowles
Solange Knowles made a case for matching your lipstick with your evening gown. Her colour of choice? Matte cherry.

Chrissy Teigen
Chrissy Teigen’s look was all about the drama. Her plunging Zuhari Murad dress was paired with glossy aubergine lips and sculpted curls.

Rosamund Pike

A fair complexion and blush cheeks are the defining traits of the English Rose. And no one mastered the look quite like Rosamund Pike. A matte cream bronzer was used to contour her cheekbones, whilst brown and vanilla tones were applied to her eyes.

Sienna Miller
Sienna Miller is on a red carpet roll. She wore her hair twisted back into a bun, drawing attention to her chocolate coloured smoky eye. Lips were kept nude, to let her Oscar de la Renta dress do the talking.

Zoe Saldana
Zoe Saldana’s look was all about the romance. A blush coloured Versace gown, dewy makeup and tumbling curls loosely pinned into a bun. We’re certainly in love.
